Takapuna hosts the prestigious Takapuna Grammar School. Since 1972, Takapuna Grammar has had a reputation for outstanding student achievement.

THE PUMPHOUSE THEATRE AND GALLERY BY LAKE PUPUKE
The Pumphouse was saved from demolition in the late 1960’s, restored in the 1970’s and opened in 1977 to become the vibrant Theatre and Gallery complex it is today. The Theatre hosts a wide range of performing art, entertainment, cultural events and weddings. The Gallery presents new exhibitions every three weeks from art awards, painting, jewellery, photography, ceramics and glass.
