Milford

 


Stretching from sea to lake on Auckland’s North Shore, Milford is located approximately 15 minutes drive from Auckland’s Central Business District and is well known for its relaxed atmosphere. Milford offers a marina, sea scouts, the Milford Cruising Club, a boat ramp and a popular family beach with a large grassed area having spaces for volleyball, picnics and children’s playground. The township has excellent shopping and cafes, and is in zone for both of the North Shore’s Westlake Girls & Boys High School, all being within an easy walk from the beach.

SHOPPING

Kitchener Road is the main street in Milford and hosts boutique clothing stores, cafes, restaurants, jewellers and every other retail outlet you may require. Milford Mall has some of New Zealand’s bigger retailers including Whitcoulls and the Warehouse, and also houses smaller New Zealand made stores.

MILFORD CRUISING CLUB

The Milford Cruising Club was built in 1970. There have been several major yachting championships held here. The club has come a long way in over 70 years and nowadays boasts its own excellent slipway, spread over two sections backing onto Wairau estuary.
